MOJO

by Portland 8/17/2007

MoJo (Maurice Jones-Drew) was a highlight reel last year.  He scored from anywhere on the field.  If you started him in weeks 13-16...you prolly won a Title.

MoJo is the most intriguing pick in this years Draft.  I have him as high as 11 and as low as 34.  Drafting this guy is difficult.  He is one of those Draft Day selections where everyone around the table breaks out in laughter when you pick him at 11.  The guys in your divsion are giving each other knucks about how they are 2-0 and the season hasn't started yet.  All you can do is drink another beer and hope you can get through the next 14 rounds without punching one of your buddy's in their mouth.

Let's get back to the RB situation in Jacksonville.  Greg Jones is back and Fragile Freddy isn't so fragile anymore.  See...I don't buy into either one of those two theories.  Greg Jones has been a back up all his career to Fred Taylor.  If he was that good, he would have taken over the starting job years ago.  Fred Taylor will still see the ball this year but thats fine.  MoJo don't need 30 touches a game to build stats.  ONE RUN, ONE CATCH OR ONE RETURN and I will be trying to high five the guy who bet me $20 bucks on draft day he would have a better record than me.

Titles are won by drafting guys who produce HUGE fantasy stats.  MoJo is one of those guys.  Ask the owners who were lucky enough to start him last year during the fantasy play-offs or even ask the ones that didn't and lost because they had to start Ladainian Tomlinson
