Matchups Week #1

So today I'm going to breakdown four matchups, and tell you who you should think about starting.  Now I'm not going to do the easy ones like Thursday nights game(Ind @ NO) where you start EVERYONE! I'll give you games like:

Car @ StL

Now you might look at this game and say that it's an easy one, start all of your Car and StL players, well you are mostly right. Here's who to watch out for:
1)Deshaun Foster-he is starting but it is only a matter of time before D Will is toting the rock more often and this may very well be the game it happens.
2)Marc Bulger-Now I'm not saying to bench him(cuz I have him on 2 of my own teams) but if you have a decent QB with a great matchup......Here's why you should be a little wary of Bulger this week, two words Julius Peppers! He will create havoc no matter which side of the line he is on, I'm not entirely sold on Pace this year(at least not in this matchup).
Who to start:
Car-D Will,Smith,Car D------4 Star ****
      Delhomme,Kasay--------2 Star **

StL-Jackson-------5 Star *****
      Holt, Wilkins----4 Star ****
      Bulger----------3 Star ***
Final Score: Stl 33  Car 24

Mia @ Was

So you ask yourself "is Portis healthy?  what is Brown going to do this year?"  Portis=not 100% healthy yet but will start & split time with Betts. I saw on one site that Betts will get more FF points this week than Portis, BULL SHIT!!!!! They do want to ease Portis in but....Its freaking Clinton Portis. Ronnie Brown may very well be the comeback FF player of the year(a huge jump from being the bust of last year). Washington has usually had a decent D, but they are no younger(minus Landry) and they lost some LB's. Brown will do well with a vet and a healthy QB in Green.
Who to start:
Mia-Brown------4 Star ****
      Chambers,Green, Mia D---3 Star ***

Was-Portis,Moss----4 Star ****
        Betts,Cooley---3 Star ***
Final Score: Mia 28  Was 20

Det @ Oak

With this matchup up you have one team that will put up "40 pts" a game that has 0 defense and another who has a horrid O line, and a subpar offense but potentially a top 5 defense. What does this mean? Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson will get theirs but I don't see Detroit putting up big #s this week vs the Oakland D.  Secondly Cpep(who will end up starting) couldn't have asked for a better def to start his probowl push(which he will fall very short) against! Detroit has two negatives against them from the start...no pass rush and horrible dbs(the loss of Bly will haunt them). I see a big night for Cullpepper, Porter and Curry.
So who do I start:
Det-Kitna,Williams,Johnson,Hanson----3 star ***
      Bell----2 star **

Oak-CPep,Porter,Curry,Oak D----3 star ***
       Jordan,Sebas-----2 star **
Final Score: Oak 23   Det 14

Bal @ Cin

This game may actually come down to who has the ball last....Bal D is SICK! They basically have the same players coming back(minus Thomas) from last years unbelivable D  and that means trouble for opposing offenses. Cinci is lacking defensively but make up for it offesively. Look for the Bengals to air it out early and often & try to get their playmakers(Ocho Cinco and Housh) the ball in open spaces. If they are able to do that Balt may play right into their hands and keep the ball out of McGahee's. If they aren't able to accomplish the aerial attack, it will be ball control like you have never seen it in Balt!
So who do I start:
Bal-McGahee,Balt D----5 star *****
     Mcnair,Heap-----4 star ****
     Clayton,Stover-----3 star ***

Cin-Palmer,Johnson,Houshmandzadeh-----5 star *****
      Rudy,Graham-----2 star **
Final Score: Balt 27   Cin 13

Tune in next week to see how this Arrogant Bastard did(My predictions are stupendous)!!!!
