Comebacks!  Ronnie, Willie & Rudi
by Portland 7/7/08

Ronnie Brown will comeback in 2008 but his stats will not. It takes time to comeback from a torn ACL. Ronnie will be healthy enough to play and contribute but it ends there. Don’t be a fool and draft him because he falls to you late in the draft. Be the guru you are because if history repeats itself, Ronnie Brown will make his real comeback in 2009.

Rudi Johnson’s best years are past him. Which were not that flashy to begin with! I could never understand why someone would draft this guy in the first or second round! Rudi WAS a great # 2 back but I rather take shot with a rookie RB in the 4th or 5th round than draft him this year. Also, the Bengals are a pass first/run second team and most of their games end in shoot-outs. If you want to win the title, DO NOT draft Rudi!

Willie Parker broke his leg, missed the playoff game vs the Jags and was 158 yds from his first rushing title. Unlike Ronnie and Rudi, Fast Willie will comeback this year and will return to Super Star form! Unlike ACL/PCL/MCL injuries, broken Bones heal and players mentally comeback from the injury quicker. The Steelers lost Alan Faneca to the Jets but they have such a great core of players/coaches to continue on with out him. Willie Parker will be that player this year…you know, the player who no one thought would comeback from a broken leg and make owners look silly every week of 2008!

RUN WILLIE…RUN!
